1949-1951.  30 min. until 1950 then 1 hour. Excellent writing and producing made this a top radio draw even considering the lateness of the it's entry into radio.  Basically the same stories as Screen Guild Theater and others but the scripts made the difference.

1939-1952.  30 min. until ABC's 1950-1951 changed format to 1 hour.   All hollywood stars contributed their salaries to the Motion Picture Relief Fund.   Started as a variety review, this show premiered the best Hollywood could offer.   Shirley Temple made her 1st radio appearance in "Bluebird" after her parents finally allowed her to appear without pay and a 15 year old Judy Garland appeared and sings in the first show.  The show eventually went to the playhouse format during the 1940's.
